Introduction

Astronomy has been a passion of mine since my early teens. I remember walking up the hill from my grandmothers house on many occasions with my head cocked up looking and identify constellations that I had studied from sky charts. On one particular evening, 10º below zero outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, I had been looking for Gemini for quite some time, almost to the top of the hill and wow, there it was. I was flabergasted and really excited. This gave me great encouragment and fueled this passion of the stars, galaxies and observing the heavens.
